See, I'm doing stuff. The Halloween cartoon really is nearly finished.
I want to sincerely apologize to everyone for my Ent-like pace, especially to Emily and Bindy, whose voice work on the behalf of my cartoons has been so instrumental yet so only-heard-by-me-so-far. Rectifying the latter point is of great importance to me.

Th... Uh
It's near the end of April and last time I said something about giving up if I wasn't making good progress by mid-April, but don't worry 'cause progress is great and I'm right outside that Prolificity City place I talked about, except not yet because I'm actually in Philadelphia. I was invited to Pico Day at the Newgrounds office this year, probably by mistake, and then since I came all this way I'll be in Washington D.C. for a few days because I hear they have some famous buildings there, one of which I understand is shaped like a guy sitting in a chair. (Where do they come up with this stuff!)
I'm trying out new (to me) techniques in not-h
Devious Journal Entry
All right, so uh... It's been over a year and a month since I last updated this journal...
I'm always busy, always working out ways of being more efficient, so my overall lack of output is... well, I hope it's an anomaly, because if it's common then that's just depressing.
I've stopped talking about in-progress things entirely because they have a highly established history of remaining in-progress until the cows come home, and I have an established history of just kind of letting my cows wander off and then I get more cows. I've had to stop myself from saying “Seriously, I'm about to put out something awesome, this is finally it!&rdqu
Back from a trip I didn't mention I was going on
From the 7th through today (the 13th) I was in New Orleans for a Mardi Gras-related family vacation, and as a result I haven't worked on anything art related after finishing Mario Meets Patrick Star. I intend to resume work presently on my unfinished project that was supposed to be finished for Halloween.
Mario Meets Patrick Star is my first Flash submission to Newgrounds that actually got a daily place and on the front page since Saunich der Hejhaug back in 2009. The lesson is, of course, that people want quickly made, inconsequential videos in which recognizable characters do stupid, out-of-character things. I didn't really need to confirm
And then I finished another very short cartoon
I took a week off from animating that other thing to make an experimental ten second short called Super Mario Meets Patrick Star. It has fuller animation than anything else I've done and I was really surprised how well it turned out. Vote for it on Newgrounds if you'd like.
If Newgrounds doesn't like this I give up on understanding anything.

WHOA. Uh, are those CG models, or was this done entirely with Flash? Because if it's being done with Flash, I can suddenly see why it's taking so long...
